Khruangbin: Literally in the desert for both weekends of Coachella ‘24… spiritually in the desert for always. Photo by: David Black

It should surprise no one that the top three albums this week all come from artists playing both weekends of Coachella ‘24. Khruangbin not only returns to number one, but we’ve seen spins of A LA SALA nearly triple from last week. Other acts who currently find themselves in between desert weekends and in heavy KCRW rotation include indie rock royalty Vampire Weekend, French synth-pop darlings L'Impératrice, and house music impressaria Peggy Gou.

New and notable: The dream of indie sleaze is alive in Royel Otis. And after months spent hovering around the edges, the Aussie duo (and their debut LP PRATTS & PAIN) have been invited onto the chart.
