NEIL FRANCES: KCRW Live from Apogee Studio
Intimate performances, fresh sounds, and candid conversations with a view.
“It’s All a Bit Fuzzy” indeed after a raucous party set from LA duo NEIL FRANCES at Bob Clearmountain’s Apogee studio. The group, composed of Aussie Jordan Feller and SoCal native Marc Gilfry, have become mainstays of LA’s indie-dance scene thanks to their proprietary blend of psychedelic heaviness, four-on-the-floor beats, and addictive melodic hooks.

The formula is especially potent on their new album It’s All a Bit Fuzzy, which finds them collaborating with the likes of hard-grooving Chicago duo DRAMA, LA house-hop experimenter Paw Paw Rod, and OC native St. Panther. Get in now for a set that’ll bring the sweat as NEIL FRANCES tear through Fuzzy highlights including “Standing My Ground,” and “Head Straight,” complete with a live assist from St. Panther themself. Plus, they take it all the way back to the first album — last year’s There Is No Neil Frances — for their exuberant cover of Stardust’s late ‘90s French Touch classic “Music Sounds Better With You.”
